Nestled away from the bustling Tangalle nightlife, Guru Beach Resort was the perfect hideaway for our recent business trip. Imagine waking up in a beautifully decorated room with a sea view, where every morning began with fresh fruit juices and a sumptuous Sri Lankan breakfast, including that delightful dal curry! Paired with the warm welcome from the staff, I already felt at home. The resort's garden was a peaceful oasis, dotted with shady palm trees surrounding a clean swimming pool that led straight onto the beach-ideal for a relaxing afternoon with my photography gear. While we didn't swim in the sea right outside, a short stroll took us to gentle waters perfect for a dip. Plus, the turtle watching at nearby Rekawa beach was simply magical and a must-see! After indulging in some of the best lobster dinners I've ever had, we spent our evenings unwinding under the stars. If you're looking for a slice of tranquillity, great food, and the chance to connect with the natural beauty of Sri Lanka, Guru Beach Resort is a lovely base for your adventures!
